“Fantastic” – Spurs Fans Will Question Pochettino’s After Game Thoughts Following Defeat

|

Saturday’s early Premier League kick-off saw Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City and with six changes made the starting XI following our two goal capitulation against Olympiakos in the midweek Champions League clash, manager Mauricio Pochettino would’ve been looking for the side to make a point.

They almost did, although it would be wrong to claim we had the game all our own way as it was a tight affair. Harry Kane gave us the lead in the 29th minute but we were unable to build on that, and Leicester hit back twice in the second half to ultimately seal the three points for them.

Both sides also had a goal ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee technology, but I’m not sure there will be much controversy over those decisions this time around.

Speaking to the Sky Sports following the full time whistle, a clearly disappointed Poch was focusing on the positives.

“We need to be fair in how we assess. We played in some moments some very good football. We dominated and controlled the game for 70 minutes. I think the performance was fantastic. I think we did the game for more than 80 minutes being the best team on the pitch but the last minutes completely change the feeling.”
