‘Fake News,’ ‘Twaddle-Speak’ – Tottenham Fans Highly Sceptical Of Pochettino Rumour

|

A lot has been made of Mauricio Pochettino’s post-match comments after the defeat against Manchester United.

It hasn’t taken long for the rumour mill to spring into gear with Yahoo Sports UK reporter Duncan Castles suggesting Poch is weighing up a potential switch to Real Madrid.

Needless to say, speculation on the manager’s future wasn’t particularly well received by fans on Twitter:

Verdict:

Duncan Castles and Yahoo Sports are not exactly a reliable source so I am certainly not taking much notice of this report. However, the coach’s comments have reportedly unsettled the players somewhat according to the Evening Standard.

Talk about Real Madrid will likely increase if Zinedine Zidane fails to win the Champions League after a poor domestic campaign. So far though, Poch’s commitment to the club looks to be the same as ever.

The club are likely to offer the manager a new deal in the “coming weeks” the Standard believes so hopefully, that will stop all the speculation in its tracks.
