With Tottenham Hotspur announcing the return of former Academy product Ryan Mason to the club yesterday as he now takes on a more official role in our youth setup as coach of the Under 19 UEFA Youth League side, fans were rightly delighted with the step given his early retirement from the professional game.
Mason Returns To Tottenham In Key Role For The Clubs Future – One Of Our Own In Charge Of Our Own
Having come through and been pretty impressive during his chances with our senior side as he continued his development, we ultimately moved on and he made the switch out to Hull City in 2016 for a reported £10million fee.

With a serious head injury causing his early retirement, he returned to the training ground last season as a youth coach as the 28-year-old took his coaching badges. Having made the trip through youth levels into the first team he’s ideally placed to help our fellow youngsters make the step themselves and given his association with the club already, fans were absolutely delighted to see the position become officially his.
