Spurs Word On The Tweet

“Exactly What We Needed” “One Of The Best” – Some Spurs Fans Expecting Quick Improvement When This Man Returns

|

With the earlier claims of ‘unprofessionalism’ concerning Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama from his Kenya international coach, some Spurs fans have moved on quickly from his mad wibbling and focused on what a boost it will be to have the 27-year-old back and fit and firing for us once again.

He certainly hasn’t had the game time he would’ve liked since his reported £11million move from Southampton back in the 2016 summer transfer window, but with his injury behind him there is a chance he could make a first appearance of 2018/19 when the September international break comes to an end – following his appearance on the substitutes bench against Watford.

Having informed his country through the proper channels as far as Spurs were concerned, that he wasn’t fit enough to turn out for them at this time of asking – he’s yet to play this season so anyone with an IQ could’ve worked that out – the player has confirmed his focus over the break is to get him as close to tip-top fitness as possible so he can hit the ground running and that’s come as music to the ears of fans.

He’s undoubtedly a massive player for us when on form and despite the Watford hiccup, it’s been a decent start to the year and he certainly has his part to play as we look to push on further this season. Kenya will be disappointed, but ultimately Spurs nor the player can actually refuse – the country need to accept and given they didn’t insist he turn up for a medical assessment, they accepted and their head coach should know the rules instead of looking for early excuses.

The alternative is Wanyama has told them he’s retired and I very much doubt that’s the case.
