There are just a matter of days left before we wave goodbye to the 2010’s and as a result of that a lot of fans have been looking back at Tottenham players past and present to have turned out for them over the course of the decade, with Football.London’s Alasdair Gold even assembling his Tottenham team of the decade.
As the end of another decade of Tottenham Hotspur approaches, here's my starting XI and bench chosen from the Spurs players of the past 10 years. I'm not sure how some of my picks will go down. You can also choose yours and show me how it should be done. https://t.co/0s74xMNvrg

As you can imagine, some top, top players have missed out on a place in this side, and there are obviously fans who have disagreed with Gold’s choices, however, the main gripe that the fans have is that their favourite South Korean Heung-Min Son has been excluded.
Aside from Son missing out, the fans are mostly happy with the chosen players in this special ‘combined XI’ of players from the last ten years. The man put in ahead of Son is Rafael van der Vaart, and whilst the Dutchman is a hero to Spurs fans, his two years at the club just aren’t enough to justify his inclusion ahead of Son.
Is Son Tottenham's most important player now?
Yes
No
You can read the Lilywhites’ verdict on Son’s team of the decade snub here:
I’d have Son over Eriksen, move VDV to the middle and Toby over Jan

Son for VdV but otherwise yes.

What a side. Sonny over Van Der Vaart easily for me
— Indy (@hey_Indy) November 18, 2019
Sonny has to make the first 11.

Son on the wing, VDV in the middle in place of Eriksen then you’ve nailed it
— GazzaD (@gazzad1) November 18, 2019
Realistically it would be Toby in for King but I can totally understand why he was picked. Son possibly for VdV but a close call.

The Lilywhites have had some fantastic players over the years, but they cannot understand how Son hasn’t made this team.
