Tottenham Hotspur fans have long had high hopes for Republic of Ireland youth international Troy Parrott, and manager Mauricio Pochettino gave the 17-year-old his senior debut in the weekends International Champions Cup clash with Italian giants Juventus.
Keane Reveals Which Youngster Poch “Loves” & Predicts Big Future For Spurs Talent
With high praise indeed for the young lad coming from Robbie Keane, he certainly impressed in his 45 minute runout where we eventually took a 3-2 victory following Harry Kane’s late, long range lob, and Parrott already involved with the first team setup last season as Poch gave him a taste of things to come as we continue his development, plenty are now hoping to see a little bit more of him as 2019/20 progresses.
With some fans already calling for him to play backup to Kane, and wanting him in the squad given his goalscoring exploits in our youth levels when our England man was out injured last year, it looks like this may well be his year if he can steer clear of injuries.
Cracking performance today. What a future ahead.
