Defoe out – Bent in !!

Defoe out!!!! Bent in!!!

I have had enough of watching Jermaine Defoe. He does nothing on the pitch unless he runs at defenders from outside the box, creates a bit of space and hits one. This is all very well, but how often does he get chances like that and how often has he been scoring chances like that???

He started well when we bought him but he doesn’t look interested. His attitude does not seem right. He does nothing for the rest of the team. Keane at least creates chances for other players and although his finishing hasn’t been as good as last season’s, he is more dynamic and is a real team player. Keane is also a great leader, and we seem to play better when he’s in the team.

I think we should sell Defoe in January. Villa will probably take him off our hands, maybe even West ham with their cash injection!! (Na, fans would never forgive the short Paul Ince as they call him).

Who would we replace him with?

Well we missed out on Andy ‘the diver’ Johnson, so how about Darren Bent?

I think this man is class. I know he is struggling a bit this season, but Charlton as a team are not performing and not creating many chances.

The best thing about Bent is that he is a great finisher. He is good in the air and whilst he’s not tall he isn’t short either, giving you the best of both worlds. He can shoot from outside the box and he is pretty consistent. He was the highest English goal scorer last year and fits in with our policy of young and English.

I think he’d be very interested in joining us and would be more efficient than Defoe.

Defoe out Bent in. And that goes for England too!!!
