“Daniel Levy special” – Spurs race to sign “fantastic” £15.75m-valued attacker

|

According to a report from Football Insider, Tottenham are putting together an offer to ‘entice’ out-of-contract attacker Ryan Fraser this summer – with the club looking set to table a ‘lucrative’ deal.

Fraser, who has started 21 league games for Bournemouth this season, becoming one of the mainstays under Eddie Howe, doesn’t look like he will be extending his stay on the south coast past this season as his current contract looks set to expire at the end of June.

This has prompted Spurs and chairman Daniel Levy to offer him a switch to north London, especially considering the Scotsman’s estimated £15.75 million valuation could be rendered obsolete in a month’s time.

Should Spurs sign Fraser on a free deal?

Yes, especially for no cost

No, not worth the effort

Indeed, as per Football Insider, the Lilywhites are keen to entice Fraser with a lucrative offer and fend off competition – with Levy apparently spearheading negotiations personally.

Described as a ‘Daniel Levy special‘ by ex-England international Danny Mills at the beginning of May, it appears Fraser ticks all the boxes from a business point of view as well as on the pitch.

According to WhoScored, Fraser makes a superior number of key passes on average over all Spurs players – even more than attacking stars such as Son-Heung Min and Dele Alli.

Mills also described the 26-year-old as a ‘fantastic‘ option for Tottenham, as well as a ‘Mourinho-esque‘ player who works hard and puts the yards in.

Taking this into account, it’s easy to see why Fraser could be viewed as a bargain coup for Spurs given his status as a soon-to-be free agent.
