With Tottenham Hotspur taking a hard-fought victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the week, with the goals we conceded giving rise to plenty of frustrations, there were also good positives to take from the game when it came to our attacking intent.
Saturday saw goals from Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura and Harry Kane before we made life far more difficult for ourselves.
The goal from 26-year-old Lamela was the Argentine’s sixth goal of the campaign across all competitions, and his own turn in form has found favour previously with many in the fanbase and he certainly took the praise after our 3-2 victory.
Morning all, except anyone who doesn't think Erik Lamela is our player of the season so far

Back to winning ways. Don’t want to moan about the fullbacks it’s obvious we need a change but attacking wise it was looking good at times. I love that Lamela is producing the goods every week now, lad doesn’t stop with his runs. Hugo made some immense saves #3pts #thfc #coys

Still can’t believe how good Lamela has become, so happy to see him playing well after his injury problems

I thought Lamela looked fantastic last night. Great to have him (properly) back.

Lamela MOTM today for me. Was constantly running, working and pressing, got himself yet another goal this season & had an important role in the buildup to Kane’s goal. Good game from him today, MOTM for me????????

With Lamela often being an easy go-to for criticism based on the type of player he is, he certainly seems to have added a greater consistency to his game and given how good we all know he can be, long may that continue as he should have a massive part to play for us this season as we seek further improvements.
