One man who rarely lets Tottenham Hotspur down is thoroughly nice guy, Son Heung-Min and our South Korean star often takes the plaudits for his performances – especially at international level – and over the weekend the 27-year-old was named on the 2019 shortlist for the AFC Asian International Player of the Year award.

I believe the ceremony will take place on December 2 and despite the current concerns in Hong Kong, it’s not expected that the event will be cancelled. However, with Spurs facing Bournemouth at the end of November and then a quick turnaround for the Manchester United game, when Sonny lifts the award, you wouldn’t expect him to be picking it up in person.
Reacting to the news on social media, plenty fans felt he was simply a shoe in for the award given his form and usual reliability and they didn’t believe Sardar Azmoun (Zenit St Petersburg) or Makoto Hasebe (Eintracht Frankfurt) would offer him any competition.
Nailed on winner, there is no competition.
