Congratulations to Josh Onomah and Kyle Walker-Peters on being part of the winning England U20 World Cup team. It was interesting watching the final, the mixture of ability, aggression and errors from both sides. It didn’t really tell me much about Walker-Peters as he was actually playing left back, he did OK but I suspect he would have done more on his natural side of the pitch. Hopefully we are done with playing right footers at left back at this club, I can still remember Naughton being misused repeatedly on the left side, with luck we will see what Walker-Peters can do on the right next season.

Maybe more interesting was Josh Onomah. He looked very good playing deeper than he has played for Spurs, more of the Dembele position. Maybe that’s where he should be played, perhaps a pointer to next season.
