Tottenham Hotspur’s Erik Lamela came in for plenty of praise following his efforts last Saturday evening against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Having put in a solid performance and found the back of the net in the 3-2 victory, he was certainly a high point for fans as they discussed the match following the final whistle on social media and his efforts did help overshadow moments of defensive madness in the game.
I’ve actually already covered some of the praise Lamela took, but I’ve stumbled over a stat that just hadn’t clicked in my own head and it’s certainly worthy of repeating.
The 26-year-old Argentinian international obviously took his own tally for the season to six goals with his effort at the Molineux, but he’s actually been involved in eleven of our goals in his last 12 appearances.
📈 @ErikLamela has been involved in 11 goals in his last 12 appearances. 🔥

Certainly worthy of the praise he’s getting and his consistency now is pleasing plenty in the fanbase so long may it continue. Another goal tonight wouldn’t go amiss either!
So much respect for him to come back stronger from adversity.
