Well done spurs.. 🙂 we stuffed the gooners / wet spam, and all the negative and nasty pundits and opposition fans who had their words thrown back at them today. Conte will stay at spurs as will HK10.

HT you called a big win for spurs.. well done sir.

    COYS !

      Greetings everyone….
Big congratulations to our coaching staff and our players.
Did keown say we would finish 8th behind wolves and spam….would love to see his face now
Looking forward to a successful transfer window.
      Big up to kulu…..coys

  • PompeyYid says:

    Spursey! whats that? lol!

Mind the step, Gooners, MU and Spam.

Conte n Harry to sign new contracts.

Over to you Levy, Para n Conte this STW.

Effin MoSalad gets GB on assists, yet Son hammers him with open play goals, 23, no pens, its not bloody fair.

The Mighty Spurs go marching on. COYS

  • Allan says:

Well a bit of an anti climax as we didn’t need goal difference to gain 4th and we didn’t have to come from behind !! My pulse rate stayed normal !!
As I have mentioned on previous posts great credit and a tidy bonus to Conte for the amazing turn around of the team since he arrived and they didn’t fail us .
Congrats to Son for shared GB
A brilliant afternoon all round .
    A question for tomorrow .
Will Levy make money available for Conte to improve us further ?

  • Geofspurs says:

Spurs get CL football and Son gets a golden boot. Chelsea win the League and Cup and Kerr gets another golden boot. It’s fair to say I’m a happy clapper!

  • Geofspurs says:

The football season is over …. now the silly season begins.

    • wentworth says:

So disappointed we didn’t get third.
If Chelsea had lost 10 -0 and we had won 9- 0 we could have been third. Never mind 4th will do.
Now it’s over to Levy to allow Conte to build a Champs League squad. Please keep Levy out of negotiations.

  • Love totty says:

Well, it’s happened, beyond all expectations, which makes it all the more satisfying. Much work now to be done to build a competitive squad and I sincerely hope this has already started. Conte will want time to bed in new blood so deals need to be finalised sooner rather than in usual Levy time. We may have to accept some of our loanees back which won’t please some. Thanks for the articles Danny. Happy and healthy summers all.

  • Niall D says:

    Hi folks
Brilliant day all round, good prediction HT (keep em up) nearly there
Whilst I’m on predictions, who would’ve guessed this in January (not many)
There is work now to be done over the Summer, but today’s win and indeed the performance since February has made recruiting players that bit easier.
There are those “fringe players ‘and those loaned out who need to look at their performances.
Whilst we won’t be world beaters next season, I do think that we will once, again be in and, around the interesting Zone with a trophy or 2.
We are ahead in our rebuild, I thought another 2 years of 6th or 7th, but we’ve become hard to beat and can score, a goal it two (well done, Sonny), so next year looks pretty positive COYS.

  • jod says:

Interesting that both Klopp and Tuchel have already said they expect next season’s title race to be closer with more teams involved. To say anything meaningful about transfers we actually need to know a few things. How much real money do we have ? How many players we don’t want will we have to keep paying ? Is Conte actually going to be here ? Hopefully but I don’t like the way he refuses to confirm it. Assuming he is what are his priorities ? What positions does he see as most needing strengthening ? What type of player is he looking for ? Under Pochettino we bought young players he could turn into better players. But I suspect Conte is more about buying the finished product. We’ll find out. In the meantime no doubt there will be talk of buying men with no names with an unlimited supply of pretend money.

  • block 108 spurs says:

Imo.. Conte has been waiting to see how players apply themselves to his training and tactical methods, and their attitude of wanting to win. Also Levy to indicate his intent to honour any agreement (when conte joined) on transfers. Before he commits to staying, and now he has done his part of the employment agreement with levy he rightly is cautious in committing himself based on past history of levy’s transfer policy with poch.

So I expect the meeting this week.. levy conte, paratici will be positive and soon we know who are the men with no names and the origin / amount of funds to buy them so spurs move onto a new successful 2022 / 2023 season

  • jod says:

Geofspurs – How exactly do you say anything meaningful about transfers without those answers ?

  • jod says:

block 108 spurs – Not sure what makes you think we are going to get the detail of Spurs finances. All we know for sure is Covid cost us £150m but we are doing better since the ground reopened. How much better is anyone’s guess. Also not sure why you think there was any agreement on transfers when Conte joined. Conte himself has said the champions league wasn’t discussed and whether or not we made it would obviously change the transfer situation.

  • Niall D says:

    Morning folks
For me, we actually need to take time just to pat ourselves on the back just for a moment.
Actually enjoy the fact that we won our “Little race” against Arse, Manure, Leicester and W/Ham.
We finished with a flourish, we have 2 players in the top 4 goalscorers in the league and a pretty decent points record since Conte took over.
Who we’re going to lose, who we’re going to get, how much do we spend??
For me that’s for another day or another thread.
Where do we get the dosh,? Know what, I’ll let Levey and Co work that out, it’s beyond my pay grade.
Just taking time to enjoy the result, well done to “the lads,” who have had a difficult couple of seasons and should enjoy “relative” success just now.
    COYS.

  • Allan says:

Now that Conte has managed to brilliantly get us 4th and everyone is delighted that we are in the CL the question is how will Levy help Conte build on this success ?
There is no doubt that we will need several new players in order to compete especially in the league .
If Levy isn’t prepared to back Conte then all his work will be for nothing and we will be back to square one .
There are players we can sell to generate cash and several players from other clubs are coming to the end of their contracts .
Unfortunately Levy has got us into this transfer mess by buying totally unsuitable players and wasting I believe £ 150 million .
He must accept his mistakes and see that the playing side of the club is now developed

  • jod says:

Allan – If Levy has wasted £150m as you say and we lost another £150m through Covid that’s £300m we don’t have in the kitty for transfers isn’t it ? Yet you don’t explain how we get past this financial problem. Back to pretend money ?

  • DoncasterHotspur says:

Jod – we have just qualified for the Champions League and all you can do is your usual sniping, critical of everyone else whilst saying nothing of merit yourself.
Did you take no joy from yesterday or is being so judgemental your default position.
I do wonder why you bother coming on this site if everyone else’s comments disappoint you so much. Surely there are some other forums which match your intellectual standards.

  • Niall D says:

    Good Post
DH my thoughts exactly, when I posted earlier.
Just want to enjoy what happened yesterday.
It’s like the old saying m8, everyone lights up a room, some when they enter, others when they leave 😉.

  • BelgianSpur says:

We have done it! And this despite more than enough controversy to derail many seasons.

Conte has performed brilliantly and deserves to be backed with everything we can afford to put at his disposal. And this, not by Levy’s prudent standards but by objective measures.

Congrats to the Spurs fans who were able to stay positive throughout it all.

Having said that, for all of our sakes, I hope next season contains less turmoil and makes for smoother sailing!

Back Conte, keep him happy and let him build a winner. I trust him to use the money wisely.

We’ve got a foundation in place but the squad needs an infusion of talent to take that next step. We’ll know soon enough what the club’s intentions are.

  • block 108 spurs says:

Jod it is well known conte has demanded that his club employers buy top quality players like all top managers… pep / jose etc. So accordingly it is fair to assume that the reports when he joined spurs this was discussed and adjourned to season end. Which conte has said many times.. and is why he has not formally committed himself to beyond the 18 mth contract.

  • Arky says:

Hello everybody, trust everyone has a little extra bounce in their step today. I certainly do.
So we have a real proper manager, finally !
    We have Harry Kane.
We have the GB winner and its not Harry.
We have the best stadium and training grounds in the league, which are pristine.
We have Champion Leagues matches to look forward to.
We have Champion Leagues matches and prize money to fund our aspirations.
Kinda happy clapping in my end here, I know you are too. 🙂
    COYS

    • Geofspurs says:

Arky …. You do realise that half of North London found your post extremely depressing mate! lol
