Time to go after Lamptey and Bissoma of Brighton. Our crossing and midfield attacks are appalling.

Agree WW crossing is so poor, why doesn’t royal look up, if no player is on don’t cross, but he just seems to cross the ball and it gets blocked or gets past the 1st man it’s no where near a spurs player

  • wentworth says:

There is no comparison between Lamptey Brighton)and Emerson, Tanganga and the hapless, hopeless Doherty. Sell three and by one. We have Paskotsi (young Estonian attacking right back) who looks a good prospect. Cannot be worse than the aforementioned three.
Some reports say that we may be looking at Lamptey but will Levy miss the boat…we have missed so many promising players by the dithering and tight fisted Levy.

  • wentworth says:

Then there is our impotent midfield……the ambling N’Dombele, the one legged, scuttling Lo Celso and the spinning sideways and backwards Winks. Soon to be sold; easily forgotten. Yep, we have to do SO much better.

I must admit that we didn’t look great last nite, that’s not to say Chelsea were brilliant.
They hardly peppered our goal with chances and in fact had only one more effort on target than us.
We were, for a better description, like the key stone cops at the back and in reality architects of our own defeat last nite.
Chelsea were marginally better, but only just IMO.
And why we played Doh and Tananga with Regs available is a mystery to me.
I do feel that they have done enough to progress in the cup, but in reality it’s just margins and they were marginally better than us.
By that I mean Lloris wasn’t forced into the last gasp saves and keeper heroics that we saw when we played S’oton, Palace and Watford.
So whilst at a bit of 6’s and, 7’s on the night we ain’t too far away, and on another day we could and would take that Chelsea team to church.

Niall, you say would take that Chelsea team to church! is that for a prayer meeting lol! COYS
