The Portuguese media are continuing to link Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes with a host of European clubs.
Chelsea have reportedly joined us, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid in following the 23-year old’s progress. Tabloid A Bola believes all four clubs are keeping tabs on the player.
There’s no doubt Fernandes has had a superb season in the Primeira Liga. His 16 goals and 20 assists in all competitions shows a man in a rich vein of form.
He was on his game at the weekend as well, scoring both goals for Sporting in a 2-1 away win against Portimonense on Saturday.
The midfielder never showed that kind of form during his spell in Italy where he spent five years of his career at three different clubs.
Yet, with speculation over Mousa Dembele’s future, it is likely we are scouring Europe for a new central midfielder and the Portuguese international’s record this campaign has likely seen him looked at as a possible option.
