After playing for the entire season at Wembley Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur will make their return to the new White Hart Lane stadium for the 2018 / 2019 season.

The new ground will be the only stadium in London to host Champions League football next season, courtesy of Chelsea’s and Arsenal’s failure to finish in the top-four.

But, it will be interesting to see whether, this summer, there will be many changes to the Spurs squad.

Just flicking through numerous tweets, on Twitter, you’ll find Spurs linked with several players.

One such player is Jack Grealish, the young midfielder, who looks set to become a luxury Aston Villa cannot afford after their failure to regain their Premier League status, against Fulham in the Play-Off Final, meant that obeying the Financial Fair Play regulations became their priority goal in the weeks ahead.

But, rated at £40 million by Aston Villa, would Grealish be worth a punt on, or, for that kind of money, would Spurs be better off investing elsewhere?

Please feel free to offer your opinion, on the player, in the comment facility beneath this article.

  • he would be a huge gamble, 40 million a lot of money for a playe,r who only really showed any flash of form nearing the end of the season.looks over rated to me. morrison from norwich would be a better gamble and a lot cheaper C.O.Y.S.

    • Yeah Eddie,
Add 10 million, get Ryan Sessegnon , we don’t need Grealish atm, we have many divers(Alli) in our team , Grealish not required, would be a liability.

  • Talented player but the fee reported is ridiculous. Zero merit for that price tag. Laughable.

  • Grealish is championship player. Not good enough for Spurs, especially at £40 million, a joke.

  • From the Championship, it’s still Neves and Sessegnon for me. I can see them making the step up whilst Cairney will also be steady. That leaves Grealish and Maddison and I don’t know enough about them to think they would be able to operate in a top 4 club.

  • Do we need anymore CM’s?! Assuming no one leaves it’s like CB’s do we need anymore?! Think we need a LWF and a striker and depending on Vorm another GK.

  • Jack Grealish and Madison are both youngsters of undoubted quality and potential, but the prices quoted for both are unrealistic and naive. They will both move for considerably less in the end. Grealish in a good side will become a top player, with his ability, and his box to box engine, and gritty winner attitude.

  • This rumour won’t go away. I think we are interested in the player. I just hope we don’t pay stupid money for him.

One good season in the Championship doesn’t make him a 40m player.
