‘Certainly excited’, ‘Best of luck’ – These Tottenham fans love youngster’s tour inclusion

Tottenham fans have been given the full list of players travelling on tour to Singapore and Shanghai to take on Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid, and some interesting names feature. The biggest news is that of Danny Rose’s absence, yet a lot of fans are also excited to see young Troy Parrott.

The young Irish striker made waves last season with his performances throughout Tottenham’s age group sides. Still just 17-years-old, the striker is a well-known name amongst Spurs fans, and he features with a number of other academy players.

Jack Roles, Jonathan De Bie, Jamie Bowden, George Marsh, Brooklyn Lyons-Foster, Japhet Tanganga and Alfie Whiteman are the seven players alongside Roles who have been included despite not yet featuring in competitive competition for the Lilywhites, and this summer should be good for all of them.

In terms of the fans’ excitement, though, the main youngster they want to see is Parrott. The forward bagged 15 goals in 12 games in the U18 Premier League last season and has four goals in four games for Ireland’s U19 side (Transfermarkt) making him one who has instantly been ear-marked by Spurs fans.

The Lilywhites will be looking forward to seeing Troy Parrott in action and will just hope that Mauricio Pochettino affords the youngster some crucial minutes in Asia.
