Celtic Reportedly Tracking Spurs Youngster For January Deal

|

Having signed Jack Clarke from Leeds United during the summer transfer window, his loan back to Elland Road for the 2019/20 campaign was hardly great with the 19-year-old only making two starts in the EFL Cup and one Championship substitute showing. Having recalled him in the New Year, the young lad was said to have plenty of suitors and over the weekend, Scottish giants Celtic apparently entered the race.

With it known that Spurs were open to getting him out for much greater game time in the second half of the year, Football Insider have claimed that a source has confirmed to them that Neil Lennon is interested in bringing Clarke in to help bolster their own Premiership challenge and they apparently see him as a good replacement for the departed Scott Sinclair – with it expected that Lewis Morgan will also move on.

From our point of view, Celtic might not be a bad shot if they can guarantee him more game time as he’d also get the experience of their expectation levels when it comes to winning and that could be a good kick for him.
