“Can’t See Him Moaning” – Pundit Picks Out Spurs Man’s Fantastic Attitude To Instructions

|

There’s a pretty quick turnaround in the fixture list for Tottenham Hotspur following Saturday’s Premier League clash against Crystal Palace at White Hart Lane, as Wednesday evening also saw us face our opening Champions League clash of the year as we travelled to Olympiakos.

With a confidence boosting 4-0 victory behind us, manager Mauricio Pochettino would’ve been wanting to see us be equally as vintage in our performance against the Greek side as we went in search of a first CL three points, but despite the importance of that game, Palace praise was still coming in this week after the efforts we saw on home soil last weekend.

Former player and now pundit, Danny Mills, picked out Son Heung-Min (for obvious reasons) as he reflected on the weekend.

“He works his socks off, which should be mandatory but isn’t always the case with footballers. There aren’t too many faults within his game. His consistency is absolutely superb, can play in two or three positions. He has to be one of the first names on the team-sheet every week. You can’t see him moaning, can you? He doesn’t seem like that sort of person. Ask him to play out of position, or track back, he just sort of goes: ‘I’ll do my best.’ It’s incredible to have that sort of player within your squad.”

Sonny is an easy choice, but to grab a brace in his third showing of the year following the suspension that flowed over in August following last season, well, you can’t criticise it, can you?

With Wednesday night’s disappointing draw with Olympiakos, sadly Sonny couldn’t repeat the trick but he did only enter the field of play in the 73rd minute.
