It was a good weekend for Tottenham Hotspur fans and manager Jose Mourinho as a more vintage performance saw us hammer Sean Dyche’s Burnley side 5-0 on White Hart Lane soil, and although Harry Kane (brace), Lucas Moura, Son Heung-Min and Moussa Sissoko had plenty to celebrate, highly rated youngster Troy Parrott did as well as he came on as a substitute for his first appearance under our new gaffer.

Although it was only a five minute cameo as he replaced Dele Alli late on, he did get involved in the action in his Premier League debut and the 17-year-old Republic of Ireland international will be hoping it’s five minutes with plenty more to come before the end of the campaign as he continues his own development.

Following the match, video footage emerged of Mourinho celebrating with the players, and our gaffer handed Parrott the match ball and plenty felt it was a top touch, knowing what it would do for the young lad’s confidence.

With strong speculation that Mourinho will start him on Wednesday evening in the Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, plenty of fans will be relishing how he gets on now when the chances come.
