Maybe it is just part of the silly media circus that the summer transfer window brings with it, or maybe Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing what seems like hundreds of players before the upcoming campaign.

Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Donny van der Beek and Nicolo Zaniolo are just a few names to have all been linked recently, however, another name has re-emerged as a potential target this summer.

Dani Ceballos’ name has been thrown about recently in the Spanish news and has even gone on record stating that he would like to remain at Real Madrid (Marca), however, that has not stopped the media within the southern European country from circulating rumours about his future.

El Desmarque have once again claimed Tottenham are the leading contenders in the race for his signature and we are allegedly prepared to spend between €40-50million (£35-45m) to get a deal over the line.

Now, we believe he could be a good addition for us as he has all the tools to be a quality midfielder in the future. The 22-year-old has all the traits to be solid in a deep role within the pitch, whilst his game moving forward has started to improve as he benefits from more minutes on the field.

He has an exceptional passing ability when playing the ball to his team-mates, which our attackers could benefit from as he can play defence-splitting balls for the likes of Harry Kane to run on to. He is comfortable on the ball as the Spaniard likes to dribble with it at his feet, and he can be quite safe in possession.

However, despite thinking he could be a rather good addition, many fans took to Twitter to share a completely different opinion to us and feel Ceballos is not the player we need this summer.

Many of them were quick to tell Tottenham that it was a ‘big no’ from them regarding the Spaniard, whilst one supporter stated that he ‘had not heard 1 good thing’ about him. Here are their reactions…
