Spurs have confirmed that Harry Kane has signed a new five year contract with the club.

21 year old Kane has effectively cemented one of the current three striking positions with an impressive end of last season and his early form under the new manager. As things stand, Harry might consider that his versatility is an added strength to his game, as he seems happy to play through the middle as a lone or supporting striker, whilst has also looked useful cutting in from wide or deeper roles, something he made his name for in the academy.

Although at some stage, I expect Spurs to bring in another striker, I actually think that Harry is the safest bet of the three to remain at the club. Everyone knows that Adebayor is an up and down character, whilst we are still waiting for Soldado to click, if he ever does. You imagine that Harry will be content to take his chances when they arrive this season, but with more games and confidence, I feel he has real potential to become a top player.

It will be interesting to see how he works under Pochettino and I will be interested to see if he ultimately develops as a main striker or one in a supporting role..
