Spurs Word On The Tweet

‘Better be a loan’ – Lots of Tottenham fans all thought the same thing regarding potential transfer news

|

Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to the news on Twitter that Kyle Walker-Peters could join Crystal Palace this summer and many of them seem to be sharing the same views on any possible deal.

The Times (as relayed by Hotspur Related) are suggesting Spurs could be prepared to offer the 22-year-old to Palace as they appear set to lose Aaron Wan-Bissaka to Manchester United.

Walker-Peters has been very much on the fringes at Tottenham and has rarely had the opportunity to show Mauricio Pochettino what he can provide the first-team with over an extended period of time.

In fact, according to a report by Football.London, the 22-year-old is set to hold talks with the manager about his role with the team next month and those discussions could help to shape his future at the club.

In truth, it would not be a surprise to see him potentially leave us on loan this summer in order to get more first-team experience, especially if we do look to sign a new right-back or if both Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier remain at the club.

And, it appears a number of fans would actually be pleased if a temporary move to Crystal Palace was something that happened.

Many of them on Twitter felt it would be a mistake to let Walker-Peters leave permanently, suggesting that he still has a role to play for Tottenham in the future, however, they would not begrudge him a loan.

Plenty of fans also thought a loan would do the right-back the world of good and could help to improve his chances moving forward.

Here are just some of their reactions…
