Harry Kane scored a brace in England’s 2-1 win over Tunisia last night, and it was great to see the striker thrive on the biggest stage.
Our no.10’s goalscoring instincts were fully on display as he pounced to score from two set-pieces.
Fans on Twitter were delighted that Harry managed to get off to such a great start at the World Cup:

Verdict:
The England captain led by example in what proved a tightly contested match. Although the Three Lions dominated the first half, they struggled to get going in the second period and Kane’s late intervention was very much needed.
Harry now has the monkey off his back in terms of scoring at major international tournaments, and who would bet against him ending up as the competition’s top scorer?
Much will depend of course on how far England can go, but after a winning start, getting out of the group stages is looking more likely.
