Martin Jol says there is far more to come from our very own Bulgarian international striker Dimitar Berbatov.
Chelsea and Manchester United, both reportedly interested, can sling their hooks, Berbatov is going to become a Spurs legend and WILL NOT BE SOLD!
Jol says of Berbs, a £10.9million bargain from Bayer Leverkusen:
‘Dimitar can probably score a lot more in the future but 21 is a good tally. He is excellent quality. He had a good first half and scored an excellent goal but he is always capable of that.’
Like it, ’21 is a ‘good’ tally.’ Bloody marvellous start I’d say!
Meanwhile, Spurs defender Ledley King says he isn’t surprised the ‘big teams’ are interested in the striker.
‘I have no doubt he could do a great job at any top club in Europe. It does not surprise us that top clubs are being linked with him. When you see the likes of Manchester United are interested that tells you all you need to know about him as a player.’
‘He has had a great season – and for me is one of the finest strikers not only in the Premiership but in Europe. There is no reason why he can’t become a legend.’
