Begin The Countdown – 121 To Go For Spurs Man To Own His Slice Of History

|

Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane has long been on our top ten list of all time top goal scorers at the club and following the weekend’s victory over Huddersfield Town, he took another step closer to top spot with his brace on the day returning all three points.

All Time Top Scorers:

Jimmy Greaves 266
Bobby Smith 208
Martin Chivers 174
Cliff Jones 159
Harry Kane 145
Jermain Defoe 143

Kane became only the third player to break into the top ten since Teddy Sheringham, and Robbie Keane and Jermain Defoe all get notable mentions, but Huddersfield at the weekend saw him move above Defoe to take his place in the top five with 145 goals to his name.

There’s no way Kane is finished yet and he should usurp Cliff Jones before the end of this season. Martin Chivers could also move down a spot before the 2018/19 campaign in out.

You’d be a brave man to not think 2019/20 would see Bobby Smith shifted into third place and then it’s all eyes to Jimmy “Funny Old Game” Greaves for possibly 2020/21.
