‘Awesome performance!’, ‘Amazing’ – some fans laud Tottenham forward after Southampton win

|

Supporters were full of praise for Harry Kane after his performance in Tottenham’s 3-1 win over Southampton. Spurs picked up all three points on Wednesday, bouncing back well after Sunday’s North London derby defeat.

Kane scored the opening goal against Southampton and assisted Son Heung-min’s effort for Tottenham’s third. A late goal from Charlie Austin meant Hugo Lloris failed to pick up a clean sheet.

Nevertheless, Spurs’ should be happy with the win over Southampton as it’s seen them leapfrog Chelsea and Arsenal in the table. Mauricio Pochettino’s side are third in the Premier League with 33 points from 15 games.

As for Kane, the 25-year-old has taken his tally to nine for the season. In all competitions, he’s scored and created 13 goals and fans were delighted with his latest contributions against the Saints.

Tottenham next face Leicester City on Saturday, December 8. The Lilywhites travel to the King Power Stadium to face a side boasting a six-game unbeaten run and five points from their last three home games.

Spurs’ away form is the best in the league, however, so Leicester will be very wary of the Londoners, especially with an in-form Kane leading the line.
