Back in May as the Tottenham Hotspur rumour mill started to gear up ahead of the summer, we were loosely linked with a move for 23-year-old OGC Nice right back Youcef Atal.
The report at the time came from The Telegraph and he certainly impressed in his maiden season in Ligue 1 following his switch from Paradou AC as he chipped in with six goals and one assist.
Now rated at £34million, Algerian outlet DZ Football have brought the speculation back this week and it heavily leans on our right back situation, with Juan Foyth picking up an injury as manager Mauricio Pochettino seemed to move him out there as our main option going forward, and especially following the departure of Kieran Trippier, there was an expectation that we would bring a fresh face in.
Atal’s stock is high as Algeria won the Africa Cup of Nations over the summer, but the report claims he broke his collarbone in the quarter-finals, so presumably, he’s now fit again.
It’s certainly got fans excited but it just feels like a rehash to me.
The things I would do for this to happen is unbelievable

This is the move went need to make if we are serious about a RB… do what it takes.. you want rid of a few players then try including them if there of any interest.. but do what it takes. #Inpochwetrust #coys
