Despite coming off mid-way through Spurs’ torrid 3-1 mid-week loss to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane, midfielder Steven Bergwijn has done enough to impress a handful of supporters with his display – resulting in these supporters lauding the ‘fantastic little player‘ who is ‘different class‘.
Indeed, goals from Sander Berge, Lys Mousset and Oli McBurnie gifted the Blades an afternoon to remember against us – with Jose Mourinho’s side clearly not at the races in Yorkshire.
As highlighted by the second goal in particular, where Mousset found himself in acres of space for a tap-in to make it 2-0, Spurs’ defensive performance arguably cost us a result – but these Lilywhites have managed to take solace in Bergwijn’s small cameo.
As a result, this bunch of Spurs supporters were quick to praise the 22-year-old – find all of their best comments down below.

Bergwijn is different class. Son isn’t at the races so far

I really enjoyed the first-time cushioned pass from Bergwijn in the one-two with Aurier which led to Aurier nearly finding Son with a cross. Made it look so easy. He’s such a classy player. Going to be a star.

Bergwijn has been our best player so far. Aurier is no way near that level.
