Just as fans were starting to think ‘the only way was out’ for this transfer window, Spurs have done the business with the signing of 24-year-old midfielder Hossam Ghaly.
The Egyptian has signed a four and a half year contract. Spurs’ sporting director Damien Comolli told the official site:
‘I have watched Hossam since he was 17. He is a versatile, very physical and technically gifted midfielder who will offer us a number of playing options. He’s a terrific addition to the squad.’
As soon as the Ghaly deal was signed Michael Brown was allowed to leave White Hart Lane for Fulham.
29-year-old Brown told Fulham’s official site:
‘I’m very excited to be joining Fulham and I’m looking forward to the challenges that this new opportunity brings,’ He also says he enjoyed his time at Spurs but realised his chances had become more and more limited.
His new boss, Chris Coleman, added: ‘Michael is a talented footballer and he will add a new dimension to our midfield.’
