With injuries to Tottenham Hotspur duo Jan Vertonghen and Davinson Sanchez, manager Mauricio Pochettino’s hand was forced when it came to the introduction of highly rated youngster Juan Foyth.
The 20-year-old talent and former Estudiantes centre-half was in pretty commanding form on his Premier League debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers despite conceding two penalties in the game, but there were obviously other factors to be considered in how those penalties were given up.
He bounced back in perfect fashion against Crystal Palace, playing his part in a clean sheet and he grabbed the winner as he registered his maiden club goal and taking Man of the Match awards is becoming second nature to the young Argentine as he repeated the trick as he made his debut for his country on Saturday in their 2-0 victory over Mexico.
Spurs fans were rightly raving about him at the fulltime whistle.
In the space of a fortnight Juan Foyth has gone from conceding two penalties in a game to scoring his first professional goal and being awarded MOTM on his international debut. Another star is born under Pochettino https://t.co/c4dNzmy6HS

It might have taken him a while to get going following his arrival in the summer of 2017 and he will have bad days, all players do, but this lad is proving to be something special already and he’s only barely into double appearance figures.
He did get a facial injury in the game, but from what I’ve read it’s not serious.
