Fresh from victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League clash in midweek, Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to take more bragging rights this Sunday as we make the short trip to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal.

With only one defeat in the last five Premier League games (four wins) we go into this tie incredibly high in confidence having put Inter and prior to that, Chelsea, to the sword and manager Mauricio Pochettino will be looking for his first team charges to solidify our third place in the top-flight table with another victory in this one.

Arsenal are unbeaten in the last five from a quick search, but that only includes two wins so form is in our favour and we have to make the most of it.

Unless I’m missing something blindingly obvious, the only doubts and those ruled out continue to be Victor Wanyama, Kieran Trippier, Davinson Sanchez, Mousa Dembele and often forgotten Vincent Jansson so it’s as we were with Juan Foyth coming back into Poch’s thoughts.

It may sound strange with Arsenal comfortably in fifth place (so it feels like no real change for them) but I do wonder if there will be chants of ‘Where’s Your Wenger Gone’ given they were supposed to reinvent the Premier League table once the Frenchman departed?

  • Pompey sorry to read you lost your dog recently, and congratulations on the new addition to your household. I got two jack Russell’s, the older one Iv been calling Danny Rose as one of his nicknames ever since that wondergoal against the scum, and the young one is Ellie, also known as Dele Ellie. Maybe you should name your dog after our old Romanian contingent.

  • Lloris, Aurier, Toby, Verts, Davies, Dier, Sissoko, Ericksen, Alli, Son and Kane for me – pretty much the team that done Chelski last week swapping Foyth for Verts (much needed experience in there to back-up Toby’s). Would be absolutely amazing to get the 3 points against them and continue the momentum like I said – I’m starting to think that with a bit of tweeking we could REALLY challenge for the Prem year in, year out assuming we keep everyone, keep fit as much as possible and form stays the par.

  • Is Danny (the-wonder-dog) Rose ready for his return?

If so, I’d go along with El Jefe but with Rose in for Davies.

Is Jan fully ready for another game in quick succession?

If not, then perhaps we will see Foyth back in the team.

  • Harry hurrikane king Kane hat trick today and stuff that unbeaten run right down there throats. Yes north London derby and I’m feeling very positive on the back of the Chelsea, inter results were playing a different brand of football now compared to earlier in the season.will vertoghen play 2 games in short space coming back from hamstring injury ??i think we need him because lazacette, auberang or whatever the hell his name is are tricky customers in the box, nullify them 2 and we win all day long.spurs team loris, aurier,Toby,Jan,Davies, dier, sissoko, although winks could easily play in middle of park, alli, eriksen,H.M Son,hurrikane.1-3 Kane hat trick.

  • HT….very good, mind my boy is fast so maybe “go on my Son”

Dbn…haha love it, will have to think on.

As for to day “our Arry” will be at his best, hat trick time as others have said, “go on my Son” will run em ragged, Sissoko will maul and bully their midfield, CE will dominate and as for Deli he will piss em off, so a lovely win at the library for me. COYS

  • And today’s winning 11 is:

#THFC: Lloris (C), Aurier, Foyth, Vertonghen, Davies, Dier, Sissoko, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane.

Subs: Gazza toby Rose Kw-P Winks Lucas Llorente

    It’s Toby’s turn for a rest…

  • Too many have not shown up to play today. We might have got away with it but those are two big errors leading to their 3rd and 4th.

  • And this people is why we will never win F all under MP … he cost us … let’s wait til 4-2 down to make our subs … he is a idiot at times takes Toby out .. Davies is crap sick of his shit with him playing his little teachers pet

  • oh well this is arsenal at there worst, and yet again we bottle it, and why MP will never win anything

  • Worst performance of the season by a mile. A fair reflection would be eight-two. We simply cannot cope when teams pressure us. So Spursy to put in a performance like this after the way we beat Chelsea and once again Poch doing nothing to change things. Completely lost our heads again and unable to cope with setbacks. Poor decision to play Foyth in such a big game. Really poor performance, complete lack of desire, control, game management and discipline. In all honesty this performance is not dissimilar from most of our premier league games this season -it was just worse. One final point Alli was a disgrace today constantly givin the ball away and trying stupid flicks when we really needed some control. I can’t even blame Levy for this one, it’s purely down to the poor mentality of the players.

  • MP cost us so bad .. took Sissoko out of the DM position … plays no agony .. Lloris I am tired of his lapse attitude … Levy either back MP or sack him and get a mug who is happy to accept trying to get 4th or 5th place … joke of a performance and waits til the 80th minute losing yet leaves a striker on the bench as usual Kane has gone missing no service etc .. a complete joke of a performance today and the team really let the fans down

  • No pressing no fight, no passion completely beaten all over pitch and completely beaten on the sideline just like juventus game last season poch culpable,I can take losing any game but the like of fight today all over was shocking in a north London derby hang your heads lads everyone of ye.

  • Once again we flatter to deceive, murder Chelsea last week then go from 2-1 in front to 4-2 down against the scum. We are still a long way away from winning anything unless we improve our options, we need to spend a few quid, but we know if we are honest that it won’t happen.
