Tottenham Hotspur’s fixture list for the 2019/20 Premier League campaign has finally been announced as we prepare to play our first full season at our new home!
With talk of quality players being signed this summer – the likes of Tanguy Ndombele (Sky Sports) and Giovani Lo Celso (Mirror) have both been touted as potential arrivals – there is no reason as to why we can not continue to challenge and push our title rivals all the way.
Although we may have started off with two defeats inside our first five games, we had a rather strong start to the campaign and that will be key for Mauricio Pochettino once again if we are to have any chance of lifting the holy grail in English football.
If we can use the combination of a new stadium, new players and the buzz that can generate, we should in a great position to make huge strides and build off of our disappointing defeat in the Champions League final.
And, the 2019/20 fixture list, which you can view in full here, may have offered us a winnable start – with an opening match at home to Aston Villa – however, they are shortly followed by games against Manchester City and Arsenal, but things do start to get easier once again.
Boxing Day is a fixture that we always keep our eyes on and Spurs will be hosting Brighton and Hove Albion, whilst New Year’s Day will see us take on Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium. We round off the campaign against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The London Derbies are always games that are a matter of interest and are usually plucked out of the list first so dates for each one are as follows:
Arsenal – 31 August (away) and 25 April (home)
Chelsea – 21 December (home) and 22 February (away)
Crystal Palace – 14 Septemeber (home) and 17 May (away)
West Ham – 23 November (away) and 21 March (home)
We have a back-to-back trip to Merseyside as we face Liverpool and Everton a week apart, otherwise, our schedule has been rather favourable and one we do not have too many quarrels with.
