“Announce CL trophy” – Many Spurs fans explode with delight after latest club post

|

Loads of Tottenham Hotspur fans were delighted to see our star striker Harry Kane back in first-team training.

The 26-year-old suffered a serious hamstring injury during our 1-1 draw against Southampton on New Years Day and underwent surgery, with reports suggesting that he could miss Euro 2020, as per the Independent.

However, the club’s official Twitter account posted an image of Kane training on fields at Enfield, but the Mirror confirmed that it may be a few weeks until he returns to full fitness. His goals have been a huge miss for us, with 11 Premier League goals in 20 appearances this season, as per TransferMarkt.

Will Harry Kane be fit enough for Euro 2020?

Yes

No

As a result, supporters were ecstatic to see Kane back in training and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that the club may as well announce winning the Champions League trophy now.

If Harry Kane recovers and goes to play for the 3 Lions, Spurs fans should explode with livid outrage! International football has hurt many top teams (none more than Tottenham) and compromised many top players (none more than Kane). Kane is an outstanding player and is needed & wanted by Spurs. It is a shame to see him injured and/or go off form by playing meaningless nonsensical International football. Most of Kane’s injuries and lack of form can be traced to those International competitions. Meanwhile Tottenham pays his salary and his recuperation. Since World Cup, Spurs have been paying 100% salary for a 50% contribution from Kane. If Harry wants to continue and elongate his footballing career; he needs to stop allowing himself to be used up by Southgate, who has no investment in Kanes longer term well-being. (Oh well, if Kane gets injured, he just calls up someone else.) Far too many young players suffer from playing career-limiting jingoist football to put money in the hands of the Football Association big wigs. These tourneys have nothing to do with National pride.

Given the power international sides have over selections, it’s about time rules were introduced where any player out for 1/2 club matches HAS to play 5 (2 starts/3 subs to be fair) before their country can demand their involvement. Out for 3/4, then double the requirement and so on.

    I like that idea Danny!

I have them on occasions George! lol Seems fairer to the club that way, whilst also being fair to the country and in some ways, it takes it out of the players hands, whilst reducing any conflict within a club.
