The Daily Telegraph journalist Matt Law is reporting that Manchester United striker Anthony Martial would prefer a move to us rather than Chelsea.
It is believed that the Frenchman is keen to work under Mauricio Pochettino.
Fans on Twitter were mostly positive about the development:
Please let this happen, would be an awesome signing and a real signal of intent!!

I actually don’t want him, he’s brought nothing to the table since Monaco

He’s not daft, taken a look at what happens to CFC ‘prospects’. He took the money route going to Utd, could call that a learning experience… We were willing to pay 1/3 of what Utd paid for him, would give around a half now given inflation?

Verdict:
Another Telegraph journalist James Ducker reports that United would resist any offer from us for Martial. They are not keen to sell to another Premier League club.
He reports that if we do push for the France international’s inclusion in any deal for Toby Alderweireld, the Manchester club are likely to withdraw from negotiations and look at other targets.
My gut feeling on this one is that this could be a lengthy transfer saga involving both players. Daniel Levy’s notoriously tough negotiating stance will likely be in evidence once again, and although Poch is reportedly keen to get the club’s transfer business out of the way early this summer, I am not confident that will happen.
