Spurs Word On The Tweet

“An Absolute Embarrassment To Football” – Spurs Fans In Hysterical Meltdown Over Tweet

|

Tottenham Hotspur took London derby victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium last weekend, but for some the game is not now going to be what goes down in history when they get nostalgic in the future.

Sometimes writing for a website you go looking for content, other times, the content finds you and this is one of those moments. It wasn’t a great game from Spurs, it was a typical ‘win ugly’ in effect and we did just enough to get over the line as I’m sure all fans will agree – but it’s been one of those seasons so far for us and we definitely haven’t found our top gear.

With that said we still sit two points off top spot in fifth place in the Premier League table.

This Tweet, however, has made some fans week.

If you watch it for what it is, it looks like a sustained period of ball retention from the Spurs players which may not have been offensively effective, but you need moments like that in games to tire out the opposition.

The problem is, it came from West Ham’s social media team and they were celebrating Robert Snodgrass’s attempt at Forrest Gump.

I included a couple of West Ham reactions to it because it went down like a lead balloon amongst their fan base as well. As you’d expect, what were they thinking?
