Late Friday afternoon Tottenham Hotspur confirmed the released list for the summer of 2019, and as expected goalkeeper Michel Vorm will be departing.
The 35-year-old Dutch international stopper joined us from Swansea City back in the summer of 2014 and as Hugo Lloris’ back up, he went on to make 47 appearances for the club across all competitions.
Also released were Development Squad players Dylan Duncan, Charlie Freeman, Tom Glover, Connor Ogilvie and Jamie Reynolds.
New deals with offered, and signed by Japhet Tanganga and Jack Roles, and we have also signed Kion Etete from Notts County and the 17-year-old joins our Academy setup next season.
Despite some obvious criticism at points following some performances, Vorm made a decent impression on the fanbase though and as his time with us now comes to an end fans certainly appreciate his approach to being a Number 2 and for largely doing his job when called upon by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Thanks Michel. Great player and professional to have in the squad????

Fair play to Vorm, he’s been there as a back up for years without complaining and gave 100% whenever called upon! Was always too good to just sit on a bench in my opinion tbh, good luck my man #Yiddo
