Paris United (via Get French Football News) are reporting that Juventus are negotiating personal terms with Anthony Martial.

The report suggests that Juve haven’t approached Manchester United yet, but they want to know what type of wage the Frenchman wants before pursuing their interest any further.

Martial’s asking price has been widely reported as £75m (a fee reiterated by Paris United), and many fans aren’t too fussed if we do miss out on the player due to the price tag:

Juventus are unlikely to have the funds to buy Martial. If United do hold out for close to their reported asking price then the Serie A side are unlikely to match it.

The player’s agent has previously revealed that he wants to leave Old Trafford, but it looks as though he could be priced out of a move unless the Manchester club drop their insistence on selling the striker abroad.

  • why are tottenham fans whining about the price for antony martial , when their dickhead executive chairman daniel levy slaps ridiculous prices on tottenham players nearing the end of their peek , ditto now they know how it feels

    • I’m not whining. We get high prices for our players, Man U pay over the odds for theirs (both fees and wages). You want Toby this year then we’ll reconcile ourselves for the right deal. We’d back Levy against Mr Ed. any day of the week.

  • “Again we miss out” how have we missed out, nout is certain, its just media bullcrap again as far as I know, lets just wait and see. COYS

  • Guttridge you have a wonderful way with words for a start Martial is and has been a bench warmer all season and if Utd are willing to part with him they are showing they don`t rate him , would you pay £75,000,000 for a failure they are just after huge money to enable them to purchase a better player they can`trd , and as for players that you say Daniel Levy puts a high figure on which players are these Bale World Class that Madrid were only to happy to get , Modric who Madrid were so glad to sign for any price .

  • Guttridge, I don’t believe I’ve come across any true Spurs fans on any site whining about the supposed price tag Manchester United have allegedly put on Anthony Martial’s head. Surely even the deluded Amongst the Old Trafford faithful should understand by now that Spurs are an entirely different animal these days. The club will only sell the players they no longer need or want and for the price they want to whom they want. Surely the same applies to Manchester United. It seems to me that the spoilt brats amongst the fans of United don’t like it when they don’t get their own way and the feeble minded of which there are many, start throwing their toys out the pram. Grow up man and stop chatting shit. All of the nonsense is media driven.

  • Again we miss out on another top target, well this is another bad bit of business by Levy how many more are we going to miss out on cause he won’t pay a decent price, if you pay peanuts Levy you get monkeys ever heard that one???

    • Tony Borg, where does all this rubbish about Spurs missing out come from? IF and it’s a very big if, the reports in the media are truthful which sadly more often they are not it’s a pack of made up bull, Levy and the board at THFC have called Uniteds bluff, give us Martial and we’ll give you Alderweireld. They said no because they don’t want to sell to a direct competitor. All of a sudden it’s Spurs fault because we said suit yourself, stroll on. How does that stance constitute missing out? Why should THFC sell one of our better players to them and not get a player we want in return from them. Martial has spent most of last season as a bench warmer, not through injury but by the managers choice. Clearly it would appear that Mourinho fears what Spurs will become if Martial is added to our ranks. But at £75M which is the price they stuck on his head, they can keep him or sell him elsewhere.

  • Son has scored a couple of crackers on international duty lately including the WC on Saturday and carries on showing what a quality player he is. I think we need cover for Son and Kane and Martial although a great fit to compete and rotate with them will probably not happen because Utd won’t likely sanction his sale to us and we’d probably baulk at the price anyway!
