Tottenham Hotspur have been involved in a few long and drawn out sagas so far during this transfer window, so it’s always nice when there’s a new name to look into – especially when given the usual rumour mill fodder, it actually sounds like a deal that might come off – and Dinamo Zagreb’s Dani Olmo falls into that category for me.
Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo were reporting on Friday that they believed Spurs were now close to securing a deal for the talented 21-year-old Spaniard.
Having come through the Croatian sides youth ranks and established himself in their first team, his goalscoring record for a midfielder is pretty outstanding as Soccerbase credit him with 19 goals from 29 starts and six substitute showings. It should be noted Wiki credit him with far greater game time.
The Under 21 international clearly has something about him and the report states that they believe a deal will be done in the region of 25million Euros which could well be a snip given the prices doing the rounds for other players.
If the claim that talks have advanced significantly this weekend proves to be true, he could be our next arrival.
