‘Absolute steal’: Lots of Tottenham fans think the club would be ‘silly not to’ sign player for ‘bargain’ fee

Dani Ceballos is a name that has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur for much of the summer.

El Desmarque originally linked us with a move for the Real Madrid midfielder back in May, before Marca stated that he was determined to remain at the club and fight for his place in Zinedine Zidane’s side.

However, AS recently claimed the Spain Under-21 international could be available for a mammoth €50million (£44.7m) fee this summer and we wrote in a previous article on Vital Spurs that we felt missing out on him would be a blow.

But, it seems Real Madrid have now slapped a new price on Ceballos and it is thought he could be available for a more reasonable £30m (Daily Star), which has got fans talking on Twitter.

A versatile midfielder, Ceballos can be rather reliable in the deeper areas of the field with his defensive capabilities as he is a strong tackler, whilst he can also be utilised further forward as a modern-day box-to-box midfielder – a type of player we and Mauricio Pochettino could benefit having in the side moving forward.

And, fans seem to be of the same opinion as they all appear to be telling the club to get a deal done for him this summer.

One supporter said it ‘would be silly not to’, whilst others all echoed the thought that it would be a ‘steal’ if the reported fee were true and needed to get a deal done.

Here are some of their reactions…
