Spurs announced on their official Twitter account that the new arrival from PSV will take the number 23 shirt just 24 hours after the last holder of the jersey, Christian Eriksen, left the club for Inter Milan after the lengthy transfer saga finally came to an end yesterday.

Whilst Football London report that Bergwijn took the number due to sporting greats like Michael Jordan, LeBron James and David Beckham all donning the shirt, lots of Tottenham fans on social media couldn’t help but look with stunned looks as their new attacker took Eriksen’s kit just a day after the Dane left the club.
