With news earlier this week that midfielder Moussa Sissoko had lifted the inaugural Legends’ Player of the Season award, it will no doubt be a massive confidence boost for the player as we continue our preparations for Saturday’s Champions League Final against Liverpool.
To read the original story and the background on Sissoko’s rise to fame this year and the Legends’ prize, I’ll copy the original story in.
One Worthy Winner For Tottenham’s Inaugural Legends’ Prize
In any event, given how well he’s won over Spurs fans this season given the upturn in his form and the way he’s battled into being one of the key players for the club this year, fans were naturally delighted at the news as many felt he should’ve received the more official PotY prize for his efforts this year anyway.
Big honor for me to have been named "Player of the season" by the Spurs Legends' ???? Thanks to all my teammates, the staff, the legends and all the fans for your help and support during this season ????????
I hope the best is yet to come ????????#COYS #MS17 pic.twitter.com/Gd3eWcfomO— Moussa Sissoko (@MoussaSissoko) May 28, 2019
The 29-year-old has shown massive improvement and for many in the fanbase, he more than deserves the accolades he’s taken, given he certainly took the earlier flak.
In my 48 years as a supporter I’ve never seen a player turn his THFC career around as much as you have that alone will mark you down in THFC history
