A Champions League Distraction – PSV Eindhoven – Match Thread

|

Following a more gritty victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium last Saturday, Tottenham Hotspur are back in action on Wednesday evening as we make the trip to PSV Eindhoven and their Phillips Stadium.

It could be an illuminating experience!

Spurs fans would do well to remember this is a 5.55pm kick-off in Group B and as I type, Dele Alli and Jan Vertonghen are definitely ruled out of the tie with their injuries, but Danny Rose and Victor Wanyama are only rated as doubtful for the clash as best as I can see.

Otherwise, it’ll probably be the same group of players who took on Wet Spam but we can certainly expect manager Mauricio Pochettino to make some changes given how he rotates across the competitions.

Having lost our opening two Champions League games of the year against Inter Milan and Barcelona, this match is of a must-win nature of we are to have hopes of qualifying through to the next round but I’m not a betting man, so you’ll find me hiding behind the sofa.

If I stumble over anything major, I’ll edit and update in here.
