£70m Is A Popular Fee For Spurs This Summer – Report Sets Targets Price

|

One of the regular names on Tottenham Hotspur’s summer transfer rumour mill has been speculation linking us with Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.

It’s been stated in the media that the 23-year-old is believed to have an £88million release fee included in his existing contract at the club, and with some mixed thoughts about whether or not he’s the type of player that could adjust to the more physical nature of the English game and the Premier League, his stats from 2018/19 certainly make good reading with 16 goals contributed along with five assists in his 48 games.

Journalist Claims Spurs Have Held Positive Talks For This Target – “Betis Have Been Tempted”

With the recent claim that Spurs were effectively in pole position in the chase for him at this stage, but that we had not yet formalised a firm offer for his services, Sky Sports claimed at the weekend that sources had indicated to them that Betis would accept offers of around £70million.

I can only presume Sky’s report is actually a rehash of the other claims that we’ve seen of potential £70million offers earlier in the window, in light of the recent claim that no bid has actually been made.

Again, this one is simply going to run and run and it’s not the only piece of speculation that’ll do that during silly season.
