After some very disappointing results and performances in recent weeks, Tottenham Hotspur found their groove again in Tuesday night’s Champions League clash at White Hart Lane as we took a comfortable victory over visitors Red Star Belgrade.
A far brighter performance from manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side saw braces from Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min and with two assists to his name, Erik Lamela also got on the scoresheet to make it 5-0.
Statistics website Whoscored were glowing in their praise when it came to the player ratings from the 90 minutes and it was an incredibly tight battle between our brace goalscorers on the night, but Harry Kane just pipped Sonny as he picked up a perfect 10.00 rating.
Sonny came in second with a very impressive 9.73 and Lamela followed in third with 9.33 of his own. Completing the top five on the day were Tanguy Ndombele (8.83) and Serge Aurier (8.59). Paulo Gazzaniga, Dele Alli, Moussa Sissoko, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies also all received seven plus scores for their efforts.
