60% of polled fans want Tottenham to sign 19-year-old and ‘loan him back’ until June

Tottenham have been linked with a move for Norwich City defender Max Aarons in January, but the 19-year-old might struggle for playing time if he made the switch this month, so fans have voted for him to be loaned back to the Canaries for the rest of the season.

With Mauricio Pochettino having Danny Rose & Ben Davies at left-back and Kieran Trippier & Serge Aurier at right-back, Aarons would be low down in the pecking order upon his arrival. The England u19 international would therefore be better off staying at Norwich until next summer.

Aarons, who joined Norwich from Luton Town in 2016, has made 23 appearances in all competitions since rising through the youth ranks to the first-team this season. The right-back has contributed five goals in the Championship, created 14 chances and has made 26 successful dribbles.

He’s whipped in 46 crosses in 21 league outings but also does his defensive duties diligently. Aarons averages a tackle and interception every 30 minutes and has only been dribbled past nine times. Tottenham are yet to make an official approach for the fullback but fans are hoping they do before the window shuts.
