5 Shots, 1 Key Pass & A Sonny Performance Sees Spurs Star Man Off The Mark To Lift His First MotM Of The Year

|

Tottenham Hotspur put the September international break behind them in some fashion as we put in a performance of old against Crystal Palace on Saturday and secured a largely comfortable 4-0 victory with all our goals coming in the opening 45 minutes.

A far more fluid attacking display saw Son Heung-Min open the scoring ten minutes into the tie, and with Patrick van Aanholt finding the back of his own net, we had a 2-0 advantage 21 minutes in. Sonny secured his brace two minutes later and Erik Lamela wrapped things up ahead of the half time break with an effort of his own.

Second half saw us keep the clean sheet to take all three points and return to winning ways and statistics website Whoscored were very complimentary in their player ratings, but Sonny easily took their star man award to lift Man of the Match.

With the 27-year-old picking up an almost perfect score of 9.38 for his efforts, the top five best performers on the day were completed by Toby Alderweireld (8.14), Harry Kane (8.06), Serge Aurier (7.87) and Erik Lamela (7.87).

Additional mentions for Jan Vertonghen, Hugo Lloris and Harry Winks who all gained seven plus scores for their performances.
