45% of polled fans want Tottenham to sign 21-year-old ‘on loan until June’

Tottenham aren’t short on attacking options, with Harry Kane, Heung-min Son, Erik Lamela and Christian Eriksen at Mauricio Pochettino’s disposal, but the Londoners might have an opportunity to sign a former transfer target in January – Malcom of Barcelona.

The 21-year-old was on Spurs radar over the summer before he opted to join Barca in July, but he could be available this month after struggling for form and playing time at the Camp Nou. The uncapped Brazilian forward has amassed just 97 minutes of Liga football this season and might have to leave the Spanish outfit to get more first-team football. Fans want Tottenham to make a move.

Malcom may be struggling to make an impact in Spain, but his impressive performances in France shouldn’t be forgotten. The forward contributed 19 goals in 35 Ligue 1 games in 2017/18, in addition to creating 87 chances and making 93 successful dribbles. He would surely improve Tottenham’s attack, but Chelsea might provide competition for his signature.

Fans want to see the Brazilian signed on loan rather than a permanent deal, but time will tell if Spurs go all out to bring him to England in any capacity.
