2 Tackles, 4 Shots & 3rd Most Touches Gives Spurs Star MotM As Football Returns

|

Tottenham Hotspur fans were able to welcome back our Premier League restart on Friday evening as we welcomed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United side to White Hart Lane.

Manager Jose Mourinho was able to watch his side take the lead in the first half as Steven Bergwijn found the back of the net, but the visitors significantly grew into the game (or we simply ran out of puff) and a Bruno Fernandes penalty inside of the final ten minutes helped them draw level. A second penalty was a talking point, but thankfully the referee was overruled by the Video Assistant Referee technology – much to our delight.

Was Son Your MotM?

Yes

No

First game back after a three odd month layoff and a point to show for our efforts as we desperately attempt to chase down that last Champions League spot.

Statistics website Whoscored had United just slight edge the player ratings, but fresh from his military service, Son Heung-Min took their star man award with a score of 7.92.

Completing our top five players in their eyes were Bergwijn (7.66), Erik Lamela (7.18), Hugo Lloris (7.14) and Moussa Sissoko (6.71).

Onto Tuesday now and West Ham United.
