Whilst there may not have been much to talk about when it came to the performance in Tottenham Hotspur’s clash with Newcastle United yesterday evening, there was certainly plenty to be said about homegrown legend Harry Kane.

With Spurs taking a 3-1 victory thanks to goals from Son Heung-Min, it was Kane’s brace that had fans celebrating as our 26-year-old made it 201 goals in 350 career appearances. It was Kane’s 184th goal for Spurs, with the remainder coming from his loan spells at Millwall, Leyton Orient and Leicester City earlier in his career.

Statistics website Whoscored understandably made him their star man award with a player rating of 8.39, even though only our substitutes managed fewer touches of the ball on the night. It’s what you do with it that counts though.
Completing the top five best performers on the night in their eyes were Sonny (7.52), Lucas Moura (7.34), Hugo Lloris (7.21) and Giovani Lo Celso (7.08).
